The post impressionistic Giuseppe “Bepi” Marino was born in 1903 in Venice, Italy and passed away in 1975. Marino gained recognition for his paintings of landscapes and cityscapes of Venice. He was also known for his attention to detail, his style was very distinct, and he loved to play with different shadows, lights and colors. As time went on, he adopted a ‘paler’ style and used more pastel colors. Which strayed far from his style before, which was darker and gloomier.
Marino had many solo exhibitions all over Italy (Venice, Rome, Milan) and was a well-known artist in his community. Nowadays his artwork is mostly found in the United Kingdom, but his work is scattered throughout the world as he had made a name for himself.
