Postwar Canadian and Hungarian artist Paul A. De Bagossy was born in Hungary in 1920. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. De Bagossy arrived in Montreal in 1966.
His figurative and realistic style allowed him to paint a variety of subjects however, he is perhaps most appreciated for his Montreal street scenes, which he renders with great charm and expertise.
De Bagossy has exhibited in Europe, Canada and the United States. His works are part of numerous private and corporate collections around the world.
