Wei Xu is a Chinese artist who received formal artistic training at the Tianjin Arts & Crafts Professional College and the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. He was taught by a various number of painters, engravers and photographers who have all impacted Xu’s artistic style as it developed throughout his career. He has over ten years of experience in commercial design, and has also designed and illustrated book covers for several Chinese and Canadian authors. Xu travels to Canada yearly due to his admiration for the country’s landscapes, which continue to influence his paintings and photography.
